HIKING
We recommend that you visit the VISORANDO website or download the Komoot ou Alltrails application (for Android or Apple) in order to review and compare among a large number of trails being referenced, and better prepare for your adventure.
We will gladly provide suggestions of sport activities or excursions nearby Uzés and FLORRISSUM Bed and Breakfast.
We can lend trekking poles and a backback if needed. Don’t forget to fully recharge your cell phone and water with you!

CANOeing & KAYAK
One outdoor activity that has become very popular is canoeing. The Gardon Gorges is a wonderful place for hiking, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. Several companies and shops offer rentals. The Crinières du Soleil is only 6 minutes driving distance from our domain. It’s a nice place, however, unfortunately they do not have a web site today, but they have horses and pony’s.
Within a radius of 1 to 15 kms you will find approximately fifteen Equestrian Centres. Please do a search on google after typing “Center Equestre Uzes” to compare all options available.

climbing
The Gard department is full of sites for climbing enthusiasts.
The nearest one (and it’s a very good one I’ve heard) is the one located at Seynes, approximately 12 minutes drive from Florissum.

TRUFFLES
The GARD region is one of the best regions in France to collect truffles. However, without a dog or a pig it may prove to be very hard to find anything tasty 😊 . Gaël tried for a full day, he was unsuccessful, he does not seem to have the nose for it and he is not well trained yet!
If you are interested in joining a “Truffle Search Tour” with a trained dog (truffle hunting dog) please contact us and we will check options that may be available, all depending on the season.
UZES organizes the Truffle Festival every year between December 15 and March 15.
